…the Calgary Firefighters Benevolent Society (CFBS), whose purpose is to provide assistance to firefighters and their families when they are in need. Cancer is a prevalent occupational hazard of the firefighter’s job, and the CFBS is pleased to support Wellspring Calgary through this event, bringing cancer supportive care to firefighters and citizens living with cancer. All this would not be possible without the generous support and involvement of the Calgary Fire Department, the International Association of Firefighters Local 255, and Encana Corporation.

This is the third year of the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge. Hosted by the Calgary Firefighters Benevolent Society and presented by Encana Corporation in support of Wellspring Calgary, 100% of the event proceeds support firefighters and citizens in our community fighting cancer.
Wellspring Calgary freely provides vital programs, resources and support to people living with cancer along with their families and caregivers. Because a prevalent occupational hazard of the firefighters is cancer, Wellspring Calgary also works to ensure the needs of firefighters and the firefighting community are considered alongside the needs of all community members. Wellspring Calgary is proud to work with the Calgary Fire Department, the Calgary Firefighters Benevolent Society and the Calgary Firefighters Association (IAFF Local 255) in support of all community members living with cancer and those who love and care for them, including all the brave members and heroes in our firefighting community.
