Join firefighters from across North America for the 11th annual Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge in Calgary, Alberta.
On June 8, challenge yourself to climb 57 stories and 1,370 steps in modified firefighter gear at Calgary’s tallest tower, Brookfield Place while raising funds for Wellspring Alberta to support firefighters and citizens living with cancer.
Who Can Participate?
This event is open to firefighters aged 18+ (volunteer, retired, or active duty).

Why We Climb
Firefighters face a higher risk of cancer due to repeated exposure to carcinogens and toxins while on duty. These hazardous substances increase the likelihood of developing certain cancers.
The Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge helps raise awareness and funds to support those affected, ensuring they have access to vital resources through Wellspring Alberta.
Wellspring Alberta is a registered charity that provides programs and services to support the emotional, social, and practical needs of people living with cancer—including those diagnosed, caregivers, and kids. Focusing on the non-medical effects of cancer, Wellspring Alberta offers a warm, caring atmosphere where individuals and families can exchange information, build a support system, and find hope.
