My father died 10 years ago from cancer. He was 72 but a very young 72. The year before he died he rode his bike across Canada in only two months. . . AND he did it with a broken wrist. He accomplished much in his life workwise, a list that is too long to include here. He was an incredible inspiration to all around him. He always encouraged me to go after what I wanted, whether it was being the first girl in cubs (I REALLY didn’t like Brownies) or 35 years later the first woman on a Canadian HUSAR team. He helped me to look through walls to see what was on the other side and to always have a positive perspective on life. I am climbing for my father, Geoff Hutchison.
