Getting There

Parking and getting there

Parking is $2 at Brookfield Place on event day. The parkade can be accessed from 6 Avenue SW. Those taking the train should get off at 1st Street SW (westbound) or 3rd Street SW (eastbound) stations.

Event Day FAQs

Can I bring cash and cheque donations?

Bring any cash and cheque donations to race package pick-up on Saturday, June 10. Donations received by 6 pm will count towards your fundraising total. Please complete this donation form with full donor information and bring it along with you so we can issue tax receipts to your donors. You may also bring cash and cheque donations to the event on June 11, however, they will not count toward top fundraiser prizes.

What equipment is required?

We are asking all participants of the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge to climb in modified gear. Our request is that you wear your NFPA 1971 boots, helmet, SCBA (provided), and your choice of workout clothes, but not your turnout jacket and pants.

Please do NOT bring any SCBA. These will be provided for you onsite by our sponsor. Tanks will not have air and masks will not be on the gear.

Will there be food provided?

All participants will receive a complimentary lunch. Food is open from 10 am – 1 pm. Please note that the food is only for participants, however, there are other paid food options around for spectators. 

Are spectators allowed at the event?

Yes! There will be a screen in the plaza where friends and family can watch climbers cross the finish line. There will also be entertainment in the plaza, including a DJ, photobooth, and games.

When and where can I pick up my race package?

Race package pick-up will take place at the Delta Hotel from 3-7 pm on Saturday, June 10th. There will be a casual reception and meet and greet from 3-7 pm. Please stop in, enjoy a cash only bar and complimentary snacks, and meet some of your fellow climbers. Those who can’t make it on Saturday can pick up their race package at the event on June 11.

Will there be bag check at the event?

Yes, there will be a free bag check for those who need it.

Do I need to check in?

No, you do not need to check in upon arrival. If you have not already picked up your race package on Saturday, June 4, you will need to head to the race package pick up table before your climb.

How do I find out my climb time?

Participants have been assigned a climb time. Climb times can be found here. During the event, groups will be called to muster approx. 10 minutes before their climb time.
