When does the Virtual Firefighter Stairclimb take place?

The Virtual Stairclimb Challenge will take place between July 20 and July 26, 2020.

Keys dates:

a. Registration opens: June 17, 2020
b. Last day to register: July 17, 2020
c. First day to submit donations: June 17, 2020
d. Last day to submit donations: July 26, 2020 at midnight
e. Last day to collect all donations and submit to Wellspring Calgary: August 14, 2020

If I registered for the 2020 Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge, am I registered for the Virtual Stairclimb?

Yes, if you registered for the 2020 Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge, originally scheduled to take place on May 3, your registration, your donations and fundraising will support your Virtual Stairclimb, taking place July 20 – 26, 2020.

Am I able to defer my donations and fundraising for the 2020 Stairclimb to the 2021 Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge?

You received a tax receipt by registering for the 2020 Stairclimb by:
a) registering with a $50 donation;
b) paying a $50 donation to register and you may or may not have completed your
commitment to raise an additional $150 minimum in fundraising;
c) or by paying $200 to complete your minimum fundraising commitment in full.

All funds raised for the 2020 Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge will be allocated to the 2020 Virtual Stairclimb. In compliance with Canada Revenue Agency, donations are not refundable.

I am not able to attend. Am I able to transfer my registration fee to someone else?

It is our hope to see all of you return to join in the comradery of the Stairclimb.
Given registration fees are charitably receipted, there are no refunds. You can transfer your spot to someone else in the event if you cannot attend.

How much does it cost to participate in the Virtual Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge?

A $50 donation is required to hold your place in the event, with a commitment to raise an additional $150 by July 26, 2020. A fundraising total of $200 is required to be eligible for prize draws along with proof that you climbed 1204 stairs.

How do I collect donations?

Donors are able to support your efforts by making an online donation by going to
www.calgarystairclimb.com and donating to a participant.

How do I submit cash and cheque donations collected for Wellspring?

Cash and cheque donations made payable to you, to support your fundraising may be deposited into your bank account. Funds can be e-transferred to finance@wellspringcalgary.ca followed by the Electronic Funds Transfer form, completed in full with the donor’s first/last name, address, city, province, postal code and phone number, emailed to: finance@wellspringcalgary.ca and funddevcoordinator@wellspringcalgary.ca. The total of the e- transfer and the Electronic Funds Transfer form must match.

All donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt when the donor’s first/last name, address, city, province, postal code and phone number are completed in full.

I have a cheque from a supporter made payable to Wellspring Calgary, what do I do?

Please complete the Cheques Made Payable to Wellspring form itemizing all cheques with the donor’s first/last name, address, city, province, postal code and phone number. Forward all cheques made payable to Wellspring Calgary along with the form to:

To be eligible for prizes, when must Wellspring Calgary receive my fundraising?

Fundraising totals as of midnight, July 26, 2020, will be taken to qualify stairclimbers for prizing.
